Head Coach Sergio Rouco got his team off to a 2-0 start for the second year in a row when the Golden Panthers knocked off Monmouth 80-61 on Monday November 17th, 2008.

Foward Nikola Gacesa bounced back from a scoreless effort in FIU's opening victory against Eastern Kentucky with a 20 point performance on 7-17 shooting from the field. Michael Dominguez had his second straight game with five three point makes and finished with 22 points in all to lead all scorers.

FIU travels to play the University of Washington on Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 10 P.M.
