Men's Basketball Rouco completes staff
Men's basketball continued to fortify its sideline with the addition of assistant coach Dwight Evans. The veteran coach has made six NCAA tournament appearances in his career as an assistant, and joins FIU after spending his last six seasons on UCF's staff. Evans also brings Sun-Belt conference experience to the Golden Panthers, who have hopes of improving on their SBC low nine win season of a year ago. Evans served on South Alabama's bench from 1999-2002, which includes an SBC championship.
The hiring is the second recent change to head coach Sergio Rouco's staff, as Evans' hiring comes a week after the team brought in Heath Glick as an assistant coach to replace the departed Ken Huber.
